This is one of the most demanding — and most rewarding — journeys we offer.

Over 13 days, you’ll ride through Georgia’s hidden mountain paths, sleep in remote Tush villages with no electricity or roads, and follow ancient trails used by shepherds and warriors for centuries. It’s not a horseback tour with comfort breaks — it’s an expedition into a vanishing world, carried by sure-footed mountain horses and led by the guides who live what they teach.

You’ll cross three major passes, ride deep into valleys barely touched by modern life, and stay in a mix of family homes and wilderness camps. Nights are spent in tents or traditional stone houses. Days are filled with riding, walking, and discovery — not just of places, but of what you’re capable of.

This is not a polished itinerary. It’s a raw adventure shaped by weather, terrain, and tradition. No Wi-Fi, No soft landings. Just wild paths, warm food, and a deeper sense of time.

ADVICES

Extend your stay in Georgia and definitely at least one more day in Tbilisi.
Additional overnight in Tbilisi in the same hotel.

1. The itinerary may change according to the mountains and weather conditions and at this season it occurs quite often that we have to modify the itinerary because of the pathway/weather/consequences of the winter).
2. If the riders arrival and departure are before or after the date, they have to organize they own transfer to the hotel. Very easy.

REMARKS

1. The luggage will be carried in some precarious conditions. We are also not responsible for some damages which can occur.
2. At Alvani, we will give you 2 waterproof bags in which you should arrange your staff. You can leave the rest of your unneeded luggage there. The weigh should also be reasonable. Our horse should carry all the staffs.
3. During the trek we have to be self sufficient as once the Kakheti region left we can not find any provisions.
4. We are cooking every day, typical Georgian food and Tush specialities. Our food is coming from the local production and is organic.
5. During the trek, long way down should be walked.
6. We will go in a very secluded area and especially the first part of the trek. Some good physical and mental conditions are required. Taking out an insurance to cover any accident, medical assistance and mountain rescue is compulsory.
7. Mountain experiences are also recommended as some trails could sometimes be difficult.
8. We reserve the right to modify the itinerary if we judge for any reasons that the way is not safe enough. This decision will be taken by the main guide and should not be
contradicted or discussed.
9. The horse trek is mainly done at low speed (at pace because of the difference in altitude).
