Desert Mountains & Steppes Ride: Vashlovani Horseback Trails in Georgia

Located in the Kakheti region, Vashlovani Nature Reserve is a remarkable destination distinguished by its unique landscape and diverse ecosystems. The reserve’s terrain mirrors prairies and savannas, featuring steppes, semi-steppes, floodplain forests, deciduous forests, and semi-deserts. This semi-desert ecosystem, set against the backdrop of the snowy Caucasus Mountains, offers a stunning and unparalleled natural experience.

What to expect

Your journey begins with a pick up in Tbilisi, The adventure takes you to the Vashlovani Nature Reserve, a breathtaking natural wonder, for 5 days horse riding adventure. Your stay in Vashlovani is arranged at a guest house, equipped with hot and cold water facilities and cable internet to ensure a comfortable and connected stay. A full board meal plan is also included.

Each day, we set off from our guesthouse on a new trail. These trails form loop routes, offering a distinctive journey through the landscape. You will explore sprawling valleys and cliffs adorned with swallows’ nests, all while riding on Tushetian horses.

During 5-days of ride, you will visit City of Swallow – Pantishara Valley, Devil’s Valley, Black Mountain, Samukhi and Sagomralebi. A support car will follow our trek, loaded with essentials and ready to assist tired riders.

At the end of your adventure, you will be transported back to Tbilisi.
